Yeah, it's that time of year again! Another new layout, this time WITHOUT an anime character! Since Coal and my tastes differ a lot and it's hard to satisfy both of us, I've decided to take a more neutral route. Desert Flats is owned by DC James and Coal. Coal gives ideas and shoves all the actual webpage work to poor DC James. Okay, I'm gonna stop bashing my partner in crime.
Desert Flats originally started out as a non-yaoi/non-yuri personal page for the two of us to post our works, and then later we brainstormed and decided to open up an MP3 rotation as well. This has caused our site to halt in the limited updates we actually gave it, so now we're expanding our rotation a bit to add country music as well.

21 July 2007: LOOK ON IN AMAZEMENT AS WE ACTUALLY UPDATE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME-PERIOD MINUS A TWO-DAY DELAY! BWAHAHAHAHAA~ah, oh-kay, I'll get to the point. New rotation in the music section, Coal is working on some stories, some new things that are very hush-hush and that I haven't been able to even glance at yet, and I've been busy with online classes, storms affecting my health and making me hybernate, and other stories that probably aren't suitable for this website ^^;
You'll probably notice that this rotation has a lot of cover songs done by other bands. This is mainly influenced by my Brit friend Lee's request, and since she's had a stressful month herself dealing with family problems, I thought it'd be nice. I played with the idea of uploading some of my wizard rock to celebrate the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows or whatever the hell it's called- *dodges attacks and curses sent by HP fans* Don't get me wrong! I enjoy Harry Potter immensely, but I don't keep track of the exact names especially when they vary from language to language a lot! Well, back to the point, I decided not to upload any wizard rock because I decided there are probably plenty of other music rotations out there doing it in celebration. If I am wrong (since I don't visit the competition as much as I used to these days... yes, I'm lazy) then feel free to drop me a line and I'll do it for the next rotation instead to make up for it. I have a lot of stuff from Harry and the Potters and Draco and the Malfoys mainly, but I also have some scatterings of songs from The Whomping Willows and Wingardium Leviosa.
